Empiric Lawatch, you sexy thing, you. As if you couldn’t tell, we’re obsessing over this recent chair find of ours! This fabulous little piece was inspired by a 1940’s chair manufactured for Desmond’s Dept Store on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles. We are especially loving the touch of Kelly Wearstler on that top chair! So freaking in love!!

So we love checking out the Everygirl blog, especially ever since our fav gal, Melanie Pace was featured & we helped style her home! Since their blog is all about the gals, the rooms are alway so fun and girly & we can never get enough! They recently featured the space below, belonging to Danielle Moss, Co-founder of The Everygirl Blog!! Lately, it’s all about the clean, crisp white along with pops of bright colors so even on the shittiest of days you walk into a space that screams HAPPY. You know it’s true!!

We came across this fabulous Etsy shop thanks to their featured shops section & we soo had to share! We’re loving how although super rustic, the pieces have a sleek mid-century, modern look, great for someone looking to add a touch of trendy to their home but without going overboard! Jeff Libby of Birdloft doesn’t just use any slab of wood, however. Located in Tacoma, Washington, he specifically searches out tired out wood, pieces that have survived the elements for sometimes over hundreds of years. Doing this sometimes means having “weird conversations with secretive old men” around town but finding unique pieces is an “important part of [his] process”.

While you can most likely find similar pieces via other commercial outlets, sometimes purchasing something handcrafted by a small business, knowing the craftsmanship that goes into each creation, can add sentimental value & one of kind appreciativeness.  (more…)
